  1. Tally: The simplest way to create forms. This is a fairly lightweight tool to build simple data gathering surveys. 99% of the features are free and it’s a great tool for early stage founders and small business owners
  2. Typeform: One of the most well-known no-code form builders to create surveys and quizzes that is very easy to use and integrate into an existing website. There’s a free plan for small businesses but also a more robust plan that supports enterprises with many options for branding and integrations with other platforms such as Zapier, Hubspot and Mailchimp
  3. Jotform: A very powerful form builder that enables companies of all sizes to build forms, define complex logic and also collect online payments. Uber previously used Jotform to prototype and iterate on their driver onboarding flow before building it in the app. 

Tools for Building Internal Apps

  1. Airtable: This spreadsheet based application continues to launch many new features. It’s a great way for teams to collaborate with each other in a familiar spreadsheet format. They have many templates that other companies have created to track 
  2. Coda: This tool is a replacement for team docs and leans heavily into team collaboration features. Coda allows your entire team to collaborate and integrates data from multiple sources including spreadsheets, presentations and roadmaps into one document. It’s easy to use and helps teams keep track of progress on projects and more effectively communicate with each other. 
  3. Retool: This is an internal tool platform targeted toward developers and data analysts. Users can quickly create internal dashboards, tables and charts and write queries to populate the data and sync with a companies’ backend systems. Retool makes it much faster to build internal tools for ops teams and reduces the time developers need to build things from scratch.

Tools for No-Code Integrations

  1. IFTTT: Originally created for consumer use cases, if this then that (IFTTT) enables users to quickly and easily automate their favorite apps and devices. They support smart homes and have a great mobile app on iOS and Android and are starting to grow their B2B integrations as well. 
  2. Zapier: A well known tool for very easily building integrations between over 5000 apps. Zapier provides a very intuitive interface to build zaps to connect different applications including Google sheets, Gmail, Slack and Trello. It gets a bit expensive after you’ve set up a few free Zaps so make sure you’re monitoring your usage as it makes it very easy to send updates to many systems.
  3. Make: Previously known as Integromat, Make allows users to create automations and integrations quickly between hundreds of different websites including Wix, Mailchimp, Stripe and more. While the interface requires a bit more technical understanding to use, the pricing is much better than Zapier. 

Tools for Testing Landing Pages 

  1. Carrd: This is a simple one-page landing page builder. Carrd has a number of templates to choose from to build an about me page, a product landing page or form. It’s very easy to start and doesn’t even require you to create an account until you’re ready to save your work. It’s also one of the most affordable options as a yearly subscription for their lowest tier paid plan is only $9 a year!
  2. Unbounce: This landing page service targeted at larger companies with sufficient traffic to conduct A/B tests to increase sign-ups and revenue. They offer a landing page builder tool, analytics and also suggestions for how to improve your copy to increase conversion. 
  3. Instapage: Also targeted at larger companies with high traffic, Instapage enables marketers to create personalized landing pages based on traffic source and intent. It also has many Instablocks and other components users can utilize to quickly build and test landing pages to optimize ad spend. 

Tools for Building a Website

  1. Wix: A simple responsive website builder that is as easy to use as Facebook or Powerpoint. Wix allows any small business to quickly create a web presence with a number of free templates for blogging, e-commerce and landing pages. 
  2. Webflow: A website builder targeted toward designers and agencies, this tool makes it easy to build very customizable websites. There are also many Webflow templates, freelancers and agencies that can help you get started quickly. 
  3. Bubble: A more complex no-code web app builder. Bubble is robust enough to build Facebook, Uber or other more complex websites without code. However, due to its many features, many Bubble users have spent weeks on training and getting up to speed on how the logic works in Bubble so be ready to make a commitment to learning the platform if you choose to follow this route.

Tools for Building a Mobile App

  1. Glide: This is a website that makes it very easy to build a mobile web app for people familiar with spreadsheets. Originally, Glide primarily offered the ability to turn a Google spreadsheet into a progressive mobile web app but it has now expanded to include Airtable, Excel and its own data tables. It’s very easy to start and has many free and paid templates; however, users may run into limitations depending on what they’re looking to build or if they want to publish the app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. 
  2. FlutterFlow: Targeted at agencies and developers, FlutterFlow makes it very easy to build a Flutter app that can be published on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Flutter is a Google-created system that offers beautiful design however is less mature on iOS currently. FlutterFlow makes it even easier to build a Flutter app using the Dart language that can be supported on multiple platforms.
  3. Alta: The alternative to coding to build mobile apps. Alta is simple to start and offers a free mobile prototyping tool for anyone to build a mobile web app that they can quickly share with early beta testers, teammates and friends and family.
